This is my newest layout. I made it for the Color Room Challenge this week. The colors were blues with white. I love blue! I used some acrylic paints and gesso and a dark Sapphire blue Tattered Angels glimmer mist for the background. The picture is taken from the beach where I live in Alaska. I have lived in Alaska all my life and I still think it is beautiful. I have been to a lot of other places but none can top Alaska for beauty.Here is a close up of the details. I love the texture in the grungeboard letters from the gesso and paint and a bit of modeling paste. Thanks for looking! P.S. This is one of the featured layouts this week at The Color Room! Back again with another older layout. The pictures are from last winter. We got a lot of snow where I live and my husband made the girls a snow fort out of the pile of plowed snow. They loved pretending they were in an igloo. I made the layout last year with an old kit. We have snow coming down right now. I thought it was Spring already!:)

Sisters

Hello again! Here is another older layout. My mom gave me some slides a few years ago. I had them made into pictures and this was one of them. My middle sister and I were on the ferry going somewhere in Alaska. I am the oldest of three girls. We are still pretty close but I miss the days of being young girls sometimes.

Thumb Sucker

Here is another older layout. I love this picture! I was a thumb sucker when I was a baby and my youngest was one too. It was hard to break her of the habit as she got older and part of me wanted her to still be my little thumb sucker but I am glad she quit for her teeth's sake.

A new day and an old layout!:D It is another sunny day in my part of Alaska. I can see the ground in some places and I am excited to start my walking outside again instead of inside on the eliptical. The layout above was made a few years ago. It features Isabella and I used her favorite color, pink. My mom bought the cookie monter outfit for Kaylee and I passed it on to Bella. Day three of the old layouts. The picture is of my oldest daughter, Kaylee when she was just 2 months old. I really like the colors on this layout. I made this about three years ago. The hardest thing for me to finish is the journaling. I have a lot of layouts where the journaling has yet to be done. Maybe some day I will finish it. Another sunny day in my part of Alaska! Old Layout #2

This is day 2 of my older layouts. I still really like this one. I made it a few years ago. I like the simplicity of it and the colors. The picture is of my oldest daughter, Kaylee. She still loves to draw and will fill up a notebook in no time. It is another nice and sunny day today. The snow is melting and it is about 40 degrees out now!

Older layout

I thought I would post some of my older layouts over the next few days. This layout is one of the first ones I did. I got the idea from a Scrapbooks etc. magazine layout. I love the colors in this still and of course I love the picture. My husband gave our daughter, Isabella, some eyebrows. She had really light hair and her brows didn't show up very well. Pink and Black Palette for the Color Room

Here is a new layout I made for the Color Room. I am not a fan of pink so I struggled some with this weeks challenge but I like how it turned out after all. This is my first time using gesso on a layout. This picture is of my youngest daughter, Isabella, a few years ago during the Spring. It is still snowing here in Alaska but it has warmed up some today and it started raining about an hour ago. I can smell Spring in the air though! Hope you are having a great day!

A new color room layout

I made this layout last week for The Color Room color challenge. I really like how it turned out and I am getting better at learning how to edit my photos. I wish the black scroll showed up better but it looks really nice in real life. The bird was rescued by my husband from our dog. He put the bird in a safe place after I took this picture of it and it lived to fly away. It is a nice sunny day here in my part of Alaska but it is still cold. Can't wait for Spring to get here!
